Program Review 

After School Program 

The After School Program consists of anywhere between 10 - 18 children, aged 5 - 12. The program runs from September to June each day from 2:30 pm - 5:30 pm. We provide daily snacks, activities, outings, and homework hours for the children.

Drop-In Program 

The Drop-In Program runs from 6 pm - 9 pm, Monday through Friday and Saturdays from 12 pm - 8 pm for children and youth between the ages of 5 - 16. The centre is available as a support network, a social place, a fun, safe, and secure facility for children and youth to gather.

Camps

The Day Camp Program runs during March Break with approximately 20 children between the ages of 5 - 12, with many daily themed activities such as Birthday Bash, Super Nova Science Camp, Friendship Day, Indoor Winter Fun, and Messy Day. Some of the outside activities included a trip to the Mariner Centre for skating and a day at the movie theatres.

The Summer Day Camp Program consisted of 20 - 25 children between the ages of 5 - 12 and included weekly themes such as Messy Week, Water Week, Outdoor Adventures, Olympics, to name a few. Some of the trips included Atlantic Playland Water Park with a sleepover in Halifax.

Aboriginal Head Start Program

Head Start is a community program, which includes the cooperation of educators, physicians, nurses, social workers, parents, and teachers, in an effort to improve the development of children from 2 ½ to 5 years old. Educators work with small groups of children enabling them to give more attention to children's individual needs. See the following link for more information:
