Summer Student Work Funding Opportunity

Acadia First Nation will once again be offering funding for our Summer Student program. The summer student program can offer funding to employers to entice them to hire our youth. Summer work experience is an excellent opportunity for students to gain valuable work experience that can assist with career decisions and transferable skills.
If you meet the following criteria and wish to apply please do so by the deadline: Thursday, April 27, 2018. No applications received after that time will be considered for funding.
To be Eligible you MUST meet ALL of the following criteria:
- Be a youth between 16 and 30 years of age
- Be attending school on a full time basis
- Be returning to studies full time in the fall
- Be a registered Acadia First Nation band member

Please Note: Applying for the program does not guarantee you a summer work placement, however, acceptance into the program does offer funding that is attached to you that can be used to present to employers to assist them with hiring costs.
The program has a limited budget and in the event that we have more students apply than we have funding for, there may be an interview process.
